St. Joseph’s Health Centre

Residents have the opportunity to attend a private surgical facility to assist in aesthetic surgery. There is a well-equipped ‘Minor Surgery’ centre at the hospital where skin cancers and hand problems are attended to. In ‘Minor Surgery”, the resident has the opportunity to work independently while the staff surgeon is at close proximity but not directly involved. Unique endeavors at our institution include an Adult Facial Palsy Clinic (facial reanimation using free functioning muscle flaps) and ear reconstruction using Nagata’s technique.
