Mitchell H. Brown, MD, is a Full Professor in the Department of Surgery and past Program Director of the plastic surgery training program in the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery at The University of Toronto. Dr. Brown’s plastic surgery practice is focused primarily on reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery, facial surgery and body contouring.
Dr. Brown earned his medical degree at the University Of Western Ontario Faculty Of Medicine in London, Ontario. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Toronto and then received a Master’s Degree in Education.
Dr. Brown has lectured extensively in the areas of reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery with a strong focus on breast implants. He is the Founder of Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day, an advocacy initiative to raise awareness for options in breast reconstruction. Dr. Brown is the Chair of the Toronto Breast Surgery Symposium, Canada’s largest annual meeting focused on plastic surgery of the breast. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society for Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
