Dr. LeMesurier (pronounced by Dr. W. K. Lindsay as “le measure”) was Surgeon-in-Chief of the Hospital for Sick Children.
His skill set was broad but he was best known for his quadrilateral flap for cleft lip repair which received significant attention around the world. In 1955, he received the ASPS Honorary Citation Award presented to a senior ASPS member in recognition of their contributions to the specialty through clinical contributions, humanitarian actions enhancing the specialty or demonstrated leadership within plastic surgery.
