A renowned training centre for Canada’s next generation of plastic and reconstructive surgeons and specialists, the University of Toronto’s Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery is the largest academic division in North America and is recognized as a world leader in plastic surgery education, research, and clinical practice.
Our surgeons and researchers are top minds in the field, focused on untangling the complexity of a wide range of treatments for burns, traumatic injuries, congenital conditions, and degenerative diseases.
The strength of the Division lays in our commitment to improve health by focusing on education, research, and challenging boundaries towards the development of innovative approaches to care. When you give to the Division, you are helping current and future generations of surgical residents, fellows, researchers and faculty improve patient care, and develop new surgical techniques and therapies that will improve health care in Canada and around the world.
Ways to Give
Online
Make your gift online to the Plastic Surgery Chair’s Fund or the Dr. Nancy H. McKee Chair’s Priority Fund. You will receive an immediate email confirmation with your tax receipt attached. Every gift is sincerely appreciated.
Monthly Gifts
Monthly gifts are a great way to demonstrate your ongoing support for the Division. Your contribution provides a steady source of support for emerging opportunities such as cutting-edge research and student awards.
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities receive two tax savings: a tax credit and zero capital gains inclusion on the disposition of the securities. These savings make appreciated securities a very tax-effective way to support the department.
Matching Gifts
If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company, your contribution could have twice the impact. To see if your company has a matching gift program, consult your Human Resource department or check online.
Planned Giving
Planned giving allows you to plan future gifts to maximize tax and other benefits, while leaving a legacy that will transform lives. Many options exist for charitable gift planning including: bequests in your will, cash gifts, stock transfers, gifts of RRSPs or RRIFs and life insurance policies.
